Unstitched

So today I had the stitches removed from my posterior.  And while not as painful as certain aspects of the radiation treatment, it was no fun.  Poor Elizabeth offered to hold my hand and consequently had her hands crushed while the stitches were cut & pulled out.  I broke out in a cold sweat and after the procedure, the surgeon informed the nurse that I was "vageling" which means that my heart rate was dropping & I was going to pass out.  Great.  So now I'm a big fat wuss.  In any case, the stitches are out so I don't see the surgeon again until December or so.  It also means its time to get off the pain meds and start trying to come back from this thing physically.  Big fun on the way!

Diagnosis +147, Post-op Day 7.

I'll blog again someday but I'm really torn (no pun intended) about how much to share with what's going on.  I'm in good health, although a mystery fever hits me in the evening.  A lot of pain, but not unbearable.  My mood is all over the place.  I feel sorry for myself.  More later.
